Who I am

I'm Joerg Proeve. I've spent 20 years in insurance, but not as a typical broker. My career has been on the carrier and product side: underwriting, claims, system architecture, and building insurance products from scratch.

At Chubb and CNA, I worked on the systems that carriers use to price and manage policies. As COO of BOXX Insurance, I helped build a cyber insurance product from the ground up. Before insurance, I was an engineer at Siemens, working in cybersecurity.

That background means I understand technology companies from the inside, not just from the insurance application. And I understand insurance policies at the language level, not just the price level.

Why True Cover exists

Technology companies get sold insurance by brokers who don't understand their operations. The policy says one thing. The business does another. When a claim happens, the gap between the two is where coverage fails.

The Tech E&O that defines "professional services" as "IT consulting" when you do security monitoring. The cyber policy with a $50K sublimit on business interruption. The D&O that excludes regulatory investigations in a regulated industry.

These aren't edge cases. They're the norm.

The approach

I read the policy language. I cross-reference it against your operations and contracts. I place coverage that matches what your business does, not what the application said two years ago.
